St Agatha's Festival 2017 - a Joyful Occasion

'Hats off to Women' was the theme of the Bishop of Ebbsfleet's sermon (full text available here) at the 2017 Saint Agatha's Festival Day, as he described the courage and example of St Agatha and other virgin martyrs.

We were fortunate indeed to have as principal celebrant and preacher, Jonathan Goodall - Bishop of Ebbsleet. His inspiring sermon will soon be available online on this site. Over 130 people including 10 priests, from Birmingham and the Black Country, joined St Agatha's people in celebrating Saint Agatha.

On a wonderfully sunny day St Agatha's looked at its best..

Music was of a high standard and provided by David Lane at the organ, Jo Smith - soloist, St Agatha's choir and Frank West on trumpet. For the first time in many years St Agatha's hymn was sung.
